Introduction
Shu-Te University established the Bachelor Program of Hair Styling and Salon Management in 2020 because of the shortages of cosmeticians and hairstylists, and relevant industries indicating their demands for designers that meet industry requirements.
The Bachelor Program of Hair Styling and Salon Management has developed close ties with the cosmetic and hairstyling industries, hiring professionals from said industries as the teachers of this program to ensure that its students learn the skills demanded by the two industries. The students are taught to maintain favorable personal image, develop teamwork skills, and demonstrate professional ethics, to improve the overall quality of the cosmetics and hairstyling industries.
The Bachelor Program of Hair Styling and Salon Management introduces curriculum designs that train students to become talented and professional cosmeticians, hairstylists, and salon managers. The goals of the program are to develop high-level cosmeticians and hairstylists with aesthetic taste as well as professional and management skills.

The Bachelor Program of Hair Styling and Salon Management teaches fashion, avant-garde ideas, hairstyling, and salon management; offers technical training; focuses primarily on commercial hairstyling techniques (and some on cosmetic techniques); and provides improved salon management, online marketing, and multimedia application-related education to develop talented managers and establish a stable employment environment in the future. The objectives of the Bachelor Program of Hair Styling and Salon Management are cultivating high-level hairstylists and salon managers in the future.

Course Information
The “Bachelor Program of Hair Styling and Salon Management” offers rich and complete courses featuring content that is both theory-based and practical. The program introduces numerous courses that helps students develop professional hairstyling and cosmetic skills, enhances their aesthetic sense, and elevates their workplace values. Business management theory courses offered by the program are easy to understand in the beginning and become progressively in-depth, providing students with the business management knowledge needed to excel in their workplaces. Additionally, professional ethics and career planning courses are listed as compulsory courses to teach students to focus on teamwork, stability, and sustainability.
Professional courses offered by the Bachelor Program of Hair Styling and Salon Management:
- Freshmen courses offered by the Bachelor Program of Hair Styling and Salon Management enable students to become involved with practical hairstyling operations right away, technical course training is used to develop students’ professional skills. Some courses form strategic alliances with vendors to provide collaborative teaching, enabling students to understand industry demands early.
- Sophomore and junior year courses offered by the program teach professional core technology-based practical operations; hairstyling and cosmetic design courses help students accumulate the skills required to work in their respective industries. Finally, the courses train students to obtain Class B or related licenses.
- The program offers many sophomore and junior year designs and aesthetics-related elective courses that students can take to boost their abilities and values.
- Senior year courses offered by the program provide internship programs for students to work in their respective industries, enabling students to successfully enter hairstyling and/or cosmetics industries as soon as they graduate.
Student Admission Information
Bachelor Program of Hair Styling and Salon Management
For the 2021–2022 academic year, the four-year day school program is offered. Students can be admitted via the Star Project, special achievement-based admission, recommendation and screen-based admission, and joint application-based admission.
We welcome all high school and vocational high school graduates to apply to our school.
